Prezi Feedback

My Prezi

My intended audience is for the parents of kids, Kindergarten through first grade. My Prezi is about me; my family, my future goals and ambitions, and my background with kids. I believe it takes special people to be teachers as we get the good and bad moments out of kids. As someone your kids look up to and trust, I am excited for all the laughs, tears, and memories that are ahead.

My experience with Prezi was not terrible, but it also wasn't pleasant either. Having only used PowerPoint all throughout High school, Prezi was similar to learning a foreign language for me. Once I became familiar with Prezi and its features, it got a little easier. What I liked about Prezi was the layout. In the beginning process of making my Prezi, I didn't think I'd be able to find everything I needed to make it presentable. But now finished, I like the overall result and look of it.

Three Great Teacher Blogs

Teaching Blog Addict

Given the amount of sheer teaching content and links for Preschool and Kindergarten grades alike, I chose the Teaching Blog Addict.  Upon browsing and scrolling through the site, you'll not only notice
that there are there links for Preschool and Kindergarten grades, but for grades one through six as well. Other links include substitute, special ed., and homeschooling. One of the tabs - Wheels on the Bus - takes you to a page with songs, and even lists different activities for each of them.  With the mass amount of content that this site holds, it makes a great tool for any teacher learning or wanting to get involved with younger grades.

The First Grade Parade

I chose the First Grade Parade blog because the website's background colors pop and are inviting to viewers. The colors are bright with balloons in the right hand corner. The letters are large, bold, and colorful. When scrolling down, you'll notice that she updates pictures of her classroom with different angles and areas of her room for others to get inspiration. She also has tabs for free resources, kindly giving away material such as print templates. She also includes a tab for buying learning material from her own personal store.

Mrs. Wills' Kindergarten

I chose Mrs. Wills' blog because her background is a warm teal color with polka dots and other contrasting colors like green and yellow. Such colors suggest fun, comfortable, happy feelings.  As you scroll down her first page, she has pictures with her and her family. In the way she has it set up, she's being personal with whomever is reading, wanting them to be personal with her in return. She then also has a separate tab for her "about me". She has phenomenal ideas for workshops with individual, detailed pictures, and also has tabs for her products and her classroom. My favorite is the tab she created to show off her student's writing.
Welcome to My Blog!
Thank you for taking the time to visit and read my blog. My name is Alli. I am 20 years old, and striving to get my Associates degree, majoring in Early Childhood Education and Development at Columbus State.  I would like to transfer to somewhere, unknown at the moment, and get my Bachelors degree in the future. I currently work at a Daycare where I work as a Toddler teacher. I've always enjoyed being around kids and interacting with them. Prior to figuring out I wanted to be a teacher, I always told myself that I wanted to be a stay at home mother.  Upon my epiphany of my love for children, I decided to go to school in hopes of learning to be the best teacher I could possibly be.

My dream job would be to work in a school district with the grade Preschool/Kindergarten up to First grade. Between these ages, I notice that kids tend to be full of energy, ready to take of life's journey, with a burning desire for answers. This is where the teaching and learning comes in. Younger kids always ask the question "Why?" because they want to know everything from the moon and back. I hope to one day leave an impact in some shape or form by being a great teacher for my students.
